Orbea Orca
So one of my fellow bikers bought one of these guys this year. I personally am very very jealous. I’ve been pricing them out, even though at this point I’m not getting one soon. All I can say, is anyone looking for an amazing race bike. Check out the Orbea Orca.
The Decemeberists @ The Pageant
So the show last night was AMAZING to say the least. The opening band (although short) was great, and really set the mood for the show. The crowd was unbelievable! We were joking with some friends before the show started how many ‘geeks’ there were there. For those who haven’t seen/heard/experienced The Decemberists, get off your butts and check it out.

Tweet Away…
For those who are into Twitter, I’ve decided overnight that I’m going to stick with it. Two real reasons, 1) I can do it from my phone via txt 2) It updates this site… Which I fail to do as often as I should.
Twitter…
I’ve created a Twitter site… I’m just giving it a shot based on a friends suggestion. We’ll see how long that keeps up. If nothing else I’ll merge it into this site.
Catawissa or Bust
Kicked off the biking season on Saturday with a great ride. For anyone in the STL area, I would highly recommend looking up routes from WildWood out to Catawissa. It’s beautiful out there and plenty of great rolling hills.
Bookmarlets Anyone?
Back to web topics today… I’ve been working pretty hard on my free time to create a great little web app for my 8-5 job. The app allows a user to scan in data using a USB scanner and track part/repair information. As I’m a lover of AJAX, and there was no due date, I’ve loaded this app. The one down fall for all my effort is, in the end, you must open the ‘official web app’ and type/copy and paste all the auto generated data from your scanning. I’m not saying that copy and paste is hard. And honestly I’m typing more information trying to come up with a way to not have to type in this information… But that’s beside the point, when you want to build something you do it. So I ask, Bookmarklets Anyone? These little guys are amazing. You can find a description here: Wikipedia. If anyone has any desire to ever interact with a web app that isn’t yours look into bookmarklet, as you can do all forms of great powerful things with little to no effort.
Okay so to sum up this rant, Bookmarklets = awesome. PhP auto generating them for me (soon to come).

Special thanks to Daring Fireball (John Gruber) for his amazing BBEdit Plug in.
Great Javascript Table Sort
It’s rare to stumble upon an amazing JavaScript application that is both useful and expandable. I must say though that when it comes to sorting tabular data, I’ve found the best. The Frequency Decoder web designer has published a free table sort script that keeps your page/tables clean. The script is easy to use, and very powerful, as well as being expandable. I’ve used this table sorter on multiple projects now and thought it was time to give a GIANT thank you to a fellow web designer/developer.
Thanks for your hard work.
